Green milking system from GEA Farm Technologies saves on both electricity and water - experience it at NutriFair 2024

GEA Farm Technologies' milking robot is the most energy efficient on the market, according to tests by the German agricultural company DLG. It is the well-known green milking robot from GEA, model R9500, which will be shown to farmers at NutriFair January 2024.

GEA Farm Technologies is exhibiting together with GEA Farm Technologies Solution Center, AgroService Aps at NutriFair 2024.

It is with great excitement that they can show off the latest model of the R9500 milking system, says Manager for Technical Service in GEA Farm Technologies Hans Kargaard Schulz:

"This is the second time our milking robot has been tested as a two-box system in a DLG's test, and we see improvements each time. For 2023, it is the most energy-efficient milking robot on the market, which has been tested by the German agricultural company DLG.

These are completely new results, and that is why we must bring them to NutriFair," says Hans Kargaard Schulz.

The test from DLG shows significant reductions in consumption and the R9500 is now officially the most energy efficient automatic milking system on the market.

GEA's model R9500 comes as a single box and can be expanded up to 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, etc. as required and as one system. To be comparable to other brands, it is tested with two boxes.

29 percent less energy

The single box system now uses 33 percent less energy, which corresponds to a saving of 1.5 kw per 100 L of milk. With the two box system, energy consumption is reduced by 29 percent and water consumption by 18 percent. This corresponds to 1.1 kw per 100 L of milk. Adding a box also reduces power consumption by 26 percent compared to a single box.

The test is carried out independently of GEA and is carried out annually by DLG.

Time for professional talks

Project manager for NutriFair at Messe C in Fredericia Ida Brøgger Hahn is pleased that yet another exhibitor has big news at the fair.

"For NutriFair, it is a pleasure that the program is once again full of good professional news for the farmer. We want to create the framework so that decision-makers from agriculture can have two days where they can get close to their dealers and suppliers and leave equipped to make the right decisions for their farm.”

Hans Kargaard Schulz is also looking forward to the fair, which for him is also an opportunity to get to know his customers better.

"At NutriFair we have plenty of time to talk, we hear how things are going on the farms, and then the fair manages to be dealer-based - it's not importers or manufacturers, but the people who are close to the customers on a daily basis, who exhibit . It gives a very special social aspect to the fair," he believes.

The cattle people gathered in their own hall

The upcoming fair has this time chosen to dedicate a hall to exhibitors who are aimed at cattle farmers. This is where AgroService Aps and GEA Farm Technologies have their stand.

"We have given the exhibitors who appeal to cattle the opportunity to choose to gather in the same hall. It must create a good experience for the visitors, who can quickly gather professional knowledge from exhibitors who address themselves to them. At the same time, it also creates a good atmosphere for the exhibitors, who are close to their con colleagues," says Ida Brøgger Hahn.

NutriFair will take place in Messe C in Fredericia on 17 and 18 January 2024. Admission is free and tickets can be picked up at NutriFair.dk.
